Wander the cobbled-stone streets lined with charming wooden huts, carolers spreading the Christmas cheer, twinkling lights and the smell of sweet goodies in the air. Europe’s Christmas Markets are a magical time of year that fills your soul with those fuzzy feelings we all love. So forget the hectic malls this holiday. Instead, create memorable memories in the perfect winter wonderland and get your friends and family irreplaceable special Christmas gifts or better yet have them join you.



Berlin

Berlin is considered the capital of Traditional Christmas Markets. Throughout the city there are over fifty Christmas Markets to get lost in. The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church Christmas Market is considered the largest and most popular, getting around 2 million visitors a year and has about 200 craft stands.


Dresden

Dresden’s medieval streets are enchanting at all times of the year. Now imagine over 230 craft stalls, a 46-foot Christmas Pyramid, boats adorned in lights gliding along the Elbe River and Christmas tales coming to life in the city’s theatres. Dresden’s Striezelmarkt dates back to 1434, making it Germany’s oldest continuously running Christmas Market.


Prague

This golden fairytale city really twinkles during Christmas. Prague is home to some of the best festive markets in Europe, making it the perfect Winter Wonderland. The serene setting is completed with a giant glittering Christmas tree, a beautiful nativity scene, red decorated wooden huts and a small petting zoo for the kids. Traditional handcrafted products such as elaborate glassware and jewelry, wooden toys, gorgeous puppets and dolls and embroidered lace are Prague’s specialties.


Budapest

Budapest’s Christmas Market is very different from all the other ones. Here you will experience concerts, laser shows, thermal baths and an ice rink with ballet performances. The Vörösmarty Square is where most people visit to wander through over 100 wooden stalls. Enjoy a few glasses of their delicious mulled wine to keep you warm and giggly.


Vienna

Vienna turns their City Hall Square into a shining fairytale land with an iconic ice rink and nativity plays. Enjoy the choral performances and ride through the enchanting city in their Christmas Express train.
